File:Cut leaf bits from a Leaf-cutter Bee.jpg

Original file(2,100 × 1,575 pixels, file size: 409 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
English: The cut leaf bits were quite brittle and I immersed several cut leaf bits in water and once the bits were sufficiently wet, it showed that the leaf bits showed a great variation in size and shape, and did not follow any geometric pattern. The bee appears to have cut sections from smaller leaves, instead of cutting leaf bits from a larger leaf.

I wanted to know if the leaf bits used were of uniform size. Thus, I separated the brittle leaf bits from the nest and were hydrated. Location: Bangalore, India
