English: Craughwell railway station, County Galway
Opened in 1869 by the Athenry & Ennis Junction Railway, later part of the Great Southern and Western Railway, on the line from Athenry to Limerick. This station closed to passengers in 1976 and completely in 1982. It was rebuilt 200m to the south and reopened in 2010 as part of the Western Corridor rail project.
View north towards Athenry. The chimney of the original station (now a private residence) can just be made out beyond the end of the current platform.
