Notes This is one from a series of twenty numbered plates by Cornelis de Wael (Hollstein 4-23), with plate 13 not traced. Only plate 12 is signed 'CDW'. The early states with rough etchings and scratched plates are made by de Wael, while the retouchings in burin may have been done by another unidentified hand.
