Summary

Description
English: Historical ocean sampling locations within Cook Strait, New Zealand. Locations show (a) New Zealand, and within this, (b) Cook Strait Narrows bounded by Cape Terawhiti (CT) to the east and the headlands of the (shaded) Marlborough Sounds to the west and with the Cook Strait and Nicholson Canyons to the south (CSC and NC). The 200 m (solid) and 400 m (dashed) depth contours are marked, as well as the shoal at Fishermans Rock (FR). Current meter data were recorded at the blue circles and turbulence sampling were captured in profile regions V1 and V2.
