Description

A computer simulation of a mathematical model for predator-prey interactions showing the invasion of a prey population by predators. Behind the invasion front the coexistence steady state appears, followed by a band of periodic travelling waves, followed by spatiotemporal chaos. This image is being uploaded for use in the article on periodic travelling waves.

I ran a computer program to solve the equations and then plotted the results.
Previously published: This picture appeared on my website after its creation, but I removed it several years ago.
