He will give his first report of the zoological results of this expedition before the members of the American Museum in November. Colonel Rondon of the Brazilian Army, who has explored western Brazil for twenty-four years in pioneering the way for railroads and telegraph lines, joined Colonel Roosevelt at Caceres on the Paraguay and 'rendered the expedition invaluable services 171
