DescriptionColonel John Van Cleve Homestead, Poor Farm Main House, Hopewell Township, Mercer County, NJ.jpg
English: THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1843 AND IS NOW KNOWN AS THE HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP POOR FARM. COLONEL VAN CLEVE WAS A REVOLUTIONARY WAR OFFICER AND DIED IN 1814
THIS SITE IS SOMETHING OF A PUZZLE. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS HOUSE IS WHY IT IS ON THE REGISTRY BECAUSE ON THE GROUNDS IS AN OL,D STONE BUILDING WHICH WAS USED AS A REVOLUTIONARY WAR HOSPITAL. I WILL SEND A PICTURE OF THE HOSPITAL AND YOU AN DECIDE WHICH PIC TURE SHOULD BE ON THE REGISTRY. COLONEL VAN CLEVE MIGHT HAVE LIVED IN THIS BEFORE IT WAS A HOSPITAL. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE NOMINATION FORM BUT I COULD NOT LOCATE IT ON GOOGLE. THE ADDRESS FOR THIS SITE IS 44-46 POOR FARM ROAD
