Português: Imitação de âmbar, âmbar, fio de nylon. Lituânia, 1959. Doação Jenny Marcinkievicius Bumbles. Acervo Museu da Imigração de São Paulo. O âmbar é muito popular e importante entre os lituanos e seus descendentes. Ele pode ter várias cores e é muito usado na Lituânia na produção de joias e artesanato. É usado também nos trajes típicos, além de tradicionalmente poder ser usado com fins medicinais. Essa resina é também conhecida como “ouro da Lituânia”, e, por isso, é tida como a pedra nacional do país.

Amber is very popular and important among the lithuanians and their descendents. It can have several colours and it is very common in Lithuanian handicraft and jewelry. It is also used in the costumes, and tradicionally can be used for medicial purposes as well. This resin is also known as "Lithuania´s gold" and, for that, it is reconigzed as the country´s national gem.
