Polski: Główny budynek powstał w 1911 roku jako siedziba Polskiego Męskiego Seminarium Nauczycielskiego, założonego przez Macierz Szkolną dla Księstwa Cieszyńskiego w 1904 roku. Obiekt wzniesiono na zakupionej w 1908 roku parceli należącej do Czempiela z Frysztatu. W 1971 roku wykorzystując tradycje Polskiego Seminarium Nauczycielskiego, utworzono Wyższe Studium Nauczycielskie jako Filię Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, która prowadziła edukację w zakresie filologii polskiej, historii, wychowania obywatelskiego, nauczania początkowego i wychowania muzycznego. W 1977 roku filia, zachowując swój dotychczasowy status, została przekształcona w Wydział Pedagogiczno-Artystyczny. Obecnie w Cieszynie znajduje się Wydział Artystyczny oraz Wydział Etnologii i Nauk o Edukacji. English: Silesian University - faculties in Cieszyn, 62 Bielska Street. |
