English: This photograph shows the 1868 raising of the homes on Fayette Street in what is now the Bay Village neighborhood of Boston. The view is from the corner of Church Street and Fayette Street facing west, and it shows the houses on the NORTH side of Fayette Street. None of the Federal homes visible in the picture are still standing. They have been replaced by the Josiah Quincy School at the far end and the Boston Adult Academy at the corner of Church Street.
