Description
English: This image shows the crystal structure of chlorite viewed along [100], that is, looking along the layers of the crystal. Blue spheres are magnesium or iron; small black spheres (mostly hidden) are silicon or aluminium; white spheres are oxygen; yellow spheres are hydroxide. A TOT (talc) layer is visible at the center of the image, with O (brucite) layers bonding it to the next TOT layers at the top and bottom of the image.
