English: Cheddar Man, National History Museum, London
7Artisans manual lens 35mm F1.2 wide open, ambient light. Natural History Museum, London. This charming reconstruction is based on hard DNA evidence (dark hair, brown skin, blue eyes). Cheddar Man represents the first wave of modern man (homo sapiens) colonising Britain after the Ice Ages. They were hunter-gatherers. Then, about 6000 years ago, a new population moved in, and they were farmers ("Neolithic Revolution"). We may assume, with some degree of confidence, that both groups mixed (genetically speaking). People do mix - put a smile on your face!
