English: Ironworks in Kaladhungi at the foot of the Himalayas sometime at the turn of 1862/1863.
To the right, just beyond the canal sluices, seen four blast furnaces. One can also note that the landscape as a whole is almost treeless, possibly in part a result of the removal of iron hate ring necessitated.Svenska: Järnverket i Kaladhungi vid foten av Himalaya någon gång vid årsskiftet 1862/1863.
Till höger, strax bortom kanalens dammluckor, syns fyra masugnar. Man kan också notera att landskapet i sin helhet är nära nog trädlöst, möjligen delvis ett resultat av den avverkning som järnhateringen nödvändiggjorde. |
