English: Detail on an 18thC gravestone - 'the Coachman's Stone' - in the Canongate kirkyard, "erected by the Society of Coach Drivers in Canongate for their members" in 1767. It shows a sprung stagecoach crossing a stream by a high-arched bridge with a low parapet. The coach has reached the crown of the arch and the driver is guiding the team of horses safely down the descent.
