English: A Calvatomina rufescens springtail from Ebbor Gorge, Wookey, England.
Original description on Flickr:
I've been photographing these for six months and this was the first day I actually got something decent in the camera. For a one shot, I'm very pleased with this. This was again from Ebbor Gorge, yesterday. It's difficult doing macro photography there because much of the gorge is just a path threading between steep sides. So this was taken near the bottom of some scree, hence the grey in the distance, which works very well with C. rufescens' colour. Bloody uncomfortable though.
