Summary

Description
English: This photo was taken by an unknown photographer while Chicago, Burlington and Quincy steam locomotive No. 4963 sat in storage outside a since-demolished roundhouse in Galesburg, Illinois.

No. 4963 had previously been used as a spare parts provider for the CB&Q's steam excursion program, before it was shut down the previous year. Sometime this year, the locomotive would be acquired by steam preservationist Richard Jensen, only to be illegally sold for scrap, in 1969.

No. 4963 has since been rescued from scrap, and it currently resides at the Illinois Railway Musuem in Union, Illinois.
