English: Bury (Bolton Street) Station.
View northward, towards Ramsbottom, Accrington, Burnley and Colne; ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire, Manchester (Victoria) via Clifton Junction and via Prestwich, also from Rochdale, to Colne (East Lancashire) main line; also formerly the branch to Holcombe Brook. Electrification began with the Holcombe Brook branch in 7/13, then the line from Manchester via Prestwich was electrified in 4/16. The Holcombe Brook branch was de-electrified from 24/3/51 and closed to passengers 5/5/52, to goods on 2/5/60; Ramsbottom - Accrington was closed on 5/12/66; Bury - Ramsbottom closed 2/6/72, but was reopened by the heritage East Lancashire Railway in 1987 with Bury Bolton St. as their headquarters. Bolton Street station was closed on 17/3/80, when Bury Interchange was opened as terminus of the electric services from Manchester, more recently (4/92) of the Manchester Metrolink.
