Zentralbild Funck-7.12.1955 Bey-Th-14 Motive- Eisschnelläufer bereiten sich auf Olympiade und Weltmeisterschaften vor. Die Eisschnelläufer der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik trainieren in der Berliner Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle eifrig für die Olympischen Winterspiele in Cortina d´Ampezzo vom 26.1. bis 5.2.1956 und für die Weltmeisterschaften. Im Kampf um den Welttitel treffen die Herren am 10. und 11.2.1956 in Oslo aufeinander, während die Damen am 18.und 19.2.1956 in Gotenburg (Schweden) an den Start gehen werden. Eine Woche später finden dann in Helsinki die Europameisterschaften der Herren statt. Während von der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik zur Olympiade voraussichtlich nur zwei Herren fahren werden, sollen die Damen die Interessen der DDR bei den Welt- und Europameisterschaften wahrnehmen.
