Zentralbild Biscan Wjk-Ku. 3 Motive 4.8.1954 Zum Gesetz zur Erhaltung und Pflege der heimatlichen Natur (Naturschutzgesetz) Ein Berg war in Gefahr Der Streckelberg bei Koserow ist die höchste Erhebung auf der Ostseeinsel Usedom. Der Berg ist ein wertvolles Naturdenknal. Er war gegen die anstürmende See 50 Jahre lang durch eine Betonmauer geschützt. Vor einigen Jahren zerbarst in Sturmtagen dieser Schutzwall, weil unter dem Hitlerregine nichts für die Instandhaltung getan wurde. Bei Sturm riss die See bis zu zehn Meter Land aus dem Berg. Der Vernichtungsarbeit der See wurde jetzt durch Ausbesserung der Bühnen vor dem Streckelberg Einhalt geboten. Den Naturfreunden wird der Streckelberg erhalten. UBz: "Steter Tropfen höhlt den Stein." Ein halbes Jahrhundert brauchte die See, um die Schutzmauer zu sprengen. Die Instandsetzung der Mauer ist mit einer Million DM veranschlagt. |
