English: Terracotta head of the Buddha. Kashmir, probably from Ushkur. 7th-8th century CE. Ushkur was a Buddhist centre in the Kashmir valley and was the site of several stupas. The style of these terracotta heads is related to earlier Gandhara stucco sculpture. British Museum.
