A rather different kind of cricket match at Chesterfield's Queen's Park. Not the best quality image [converted from a slide], but it still gives a good view of the imperious Brian Lara. Taken in 1994 during Lara's innings of 142 [out of a total of 280] for Warwickshire against Derbyshire, the great batsman has just driven another ball to the boundary; Karl Krikken and Devon Malcolm are the Derbyshire fielders. I remember there was a big crowd for this game and they all enjoyed it thoroughly, despite Derbyshire getting a pasting. Lara had a great year in 1994, scoring shedloads of runs including that record 501 not out against Durham.
