Afrikaans: Sandpad op rooi kalaharisand naby Steenbokpan, Limpopo. Boomspesies in sig is maroela, vaalboom, sekelbos, rooiboswilg, knoppiesdoring en moontlik 'n rosyntjie-sp. Ook Elandsboontjie-halfstruike weerskante van pad. Die ligging is 900 m.b.s. op die rand van die Zambesiese streeksentrum van endemisme (kyk Frank White, 1983).
English: Sandy track in bushveld near Steenbokpan, Limpopo, South Africa. The substrate is a red kalahari sand, and tree species in view include Sclerocarya birrea, Terminalia sericea, Dichrostachys cinerea, Combretum apiculatum, Grewia sp.?, and Senegalia nigrescens. Also Elephantorrhiza elephantina subshrubs on both verges of road. It is located at 900 m.a.s.l. on the edge of the Zambezian regional centre of endemism (see Frank White, 1983). |
