Description

Pauluskirche, die älteste protestantische Kirche der Innenstadt. Sie wurde nach dem Westfälischen Frieden von 1648 zwischen 1655 und 1659 als schlichtes Renaissancegebäude errichtet. Nach einem Bombenangriff auf Bochum am 12. Juni 1943 brannte sie völlig aus und wurde 1950 im ursprünglichen Stil einer Dorfkirche wieder aufgebaut.

Paulus Church, the oldest protestant church within the city. It was built between 1655 and 1659 as a simple renaissance building after the Westphalien-Peace of 1648. It burned down completely during an air attack on the 12th of June 1943. It was rebuilt in 1950 in its former style as a village church.
