Summary

Description
Fleiri menn hála so í endan, fyri at fáa hvalin longur inn á strondina.
English: "Blásturongul" is a tool used in the slaughter of pilot whales in the Faroe Islands. The whalers put it in the whales blowhole and drag the whale further up to the beach. The whale is not killed with this tool, it is now killed with a tool called "mønustingari" (spine cutter), which is a kind of spear, with the "spine cutter" the spine is cut and the whale dies. After that the knife can be used (grindakvívur).
