Română: Pe la 1634 aici exista un schit din lemn. In 1784 se ridica o biserica din lemn.
In 1844 se construieste biserica din zid, fresca fiind pictata de Nicolae Teodorescu, conducatorul Scolii de zugravi de la Episcopia Buzaului, ajutat de nepotul sau, Gheorghe Tattarescu, elev al Scolii. In anul 1875, complexul monahal de la Manastirea Ratesti numara urmatoarele cladiri: scoala, biserica cea mare, clopotnita, arhondaricul, corpul cu 12 chilii si trapeza. |
