English: Billiards - satirical print, 1825, drawn by William Henry Pyne, engraved by G. Hunt, etched by Charles Williams. The game is illuminated by the new-fangled gas lighting. Effective gas mantles were not invented until much later; 14 gas lamps are needed to get enough light.
