Fair Use in Beverly Cotton Manufactory edit
This image is a reillustration used to depict what the Beverly Cotton Manufactory may have looked like. There is no evidence that the mill looked like this.
The image shows what the mill may have looked like, may indicate its geographic location, and shows possible construction details. The image is being used as the primary means of visual identification on the subject, but there is no evidence that it is anything other than an artist's representation, created in the late 19th or early 20th century, which may or may not have been based on an earlier sketch. The existence of any original sketch is unknown, and the Beverly Historical Society does not release rights of the copies in its collection. The copies at issue are held at the Beverly Historical Society, which generally grants only one-time non-exclusive rights to publish.
The resolution is different than the original, as the source for this came from a photocopy.
There is no known free content image. The Beverly Historical Society retains the rights to the illustration in its collection, which is not an original image, and could be misleading.
