Summary

Description
English: Commercial building "Automat" at Friedrichstraße 167-168 in Berlin-Mitte, built 1904-1905 by architect Bruno Schmitz. This is one of the few historic commercial buildings on Friedrichsstraße which survived WWII. Contemporary critics praised the modern design of the facade which corresponded with the original fuction of the building: An automat restaurant (earlier situated at Friedrichstraße No. 166) was located on the ground floor. The building is landmarked.
