Summary

Description
English: Axe Factory The hole which looks like a cave is actually one of two Neolithic axe 'factories' in Northern Ireland, the other being on Tievebulliagh D1926. At both sites there is an exceptionally hard and fine-grained rock called porcellanite, which was worked to make stone axes and tools. Examples of these artefacts have been found all over Ireland and Britain, and a few even further afield.
