English: This image shows a group of Senior Officers (taken on 29 August 1942) at a Special training camp conducted “somewhere in Victoria” for some 2,000 members of school cadet units from a wide range of suburban and rural, private and state schools, conducted by the Australian Military Forces. Those in the photograph are (L to R): (a) Cadet Lieutenant Alexander Cecil Sellars (1902-1984), Headmaster and OIC of the Cadet Unit at Albury Grammar School, (b) Cadet Lieutenant Frank Brown (1882-1972), ex-Royal Military College at Sandhurst, teacher and OIC of the Cadet Unit at Brighton Grammar School, (c) Cadet Lieutenant Hugh Gemmell Lamb-Smith (1889-1951), who had landed at Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915, teacher and OIC of the Cadet Unit at Caulfield Grammar School, (d) Cadet Lieutenant Ernest Albert William Logan (1903-, Headmaster and OIC of the Cadet Unit at Hamilton and Western District College (awarded the British Empire medal in June 1979), and (e) Lieutenant Herbert McDonell Shaw (VX80952), Second AIF (ex-student of Caulfield Grammar, and Member of the Caulfield Grammar School Council 1939-1978).
