The walls of thePioneers lobby and main entrance arefaced with a tan colored stone set with aTravertine base. The floors are cork tile.The Council room proper has a seven foot wood wainscot, cork tile floor, heavy plas-ter and wood beams in the ceiling, and in-direct lighting. The Pioneers lobby, themain entrance and the Council chamberwere decorated under separate contract byPatterson Bros, of Berkeley. The electrical equipment, in addition tonormal 110 outlets, makes provision forclocks, phones and teletype system of thePolice Department. Provision is also madeto take care of future flood lighting. Theheating equipment in the basement con-sists of unit type gas furnaces. The bestgrade of plumbing was used thruout, allthe water lines being run in copper.
