English: Holotype of Amotosaurus rotfeldensis FRASER & RIEPPEL 2006 (SMNS 50830), previously referred to Tanystropheus antiquus VON HUENE 1907, from the Upper Bundsandstein of the Kössen quarry near Rotfelden, Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The specimen shows a series of the characteristic elongated cervical vertebrae of tanystropheids and associated jaw and a few further skull bones (left center), elements of the limb girdles (left bottom and right top), as well as scattered dorsal vertebrae and ribs.[1]
Deutsch: Holotyp von Amotosaurus rotfeldensis FRASER & RIEPPEL 2006 (SMNS 50830), ehemals der Art Tanystropheus antiquus VON HUENE 1907 zugeordnet, aus dem Oberen Bundsandstein des Steinbruches Kössen bei Rotfelden im Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg. Das Exemplar zeigt einen Teil der Halswirbelsäule mit den für Tanystropheiden typischen langgezogenen Wirbeln zusammen mit Kiefer- und einigen weiteren Schädelknochen (Mitte links), Elemente der Extremitätengürtel (links unten und rechts oben), sowie verstreute Rückenwirbel und Rippen.[1]
