Summary

Description
English: Diagram showing what has been found of the extinct crocodilelike mammal Ambulocetus natans ( "Walking whale which swim" ) from Pakistan. A picture of the original skeleton can be found at [1].
  • Note that this illustration may be a bit wrong in the body shape. The legs may have been a bit shorter, and the body a bit longer. To see a more accurate shape, look at the reconstructed skeleton here [2]. The most important thing, however, is to show what we know and don't know about this creature.
