en: Location: Aplerbeck, Dortmund, Germany. The left section of the "Altes Amtshaus" was erected in 1851, its primary purpose to provide Aplerbeck with a jail and accompanying rooms for officials. The jail rooms reside behind the two leftmost windows both on ground floor and first floor.
 The right section in 1874 was erected as a mirror image of the first structure to provide space for a registry office and other official purposes.

de: Standort: Ortsmitte Aplerbeck, Dortmund, Deutschland. Die linke Gebäudehälfte des Alten Amtshauses wurde in 1851 als Gefängnis mit Amtsstube errichtet. Die Gefängnisräume befinden sich hinter den beiden Fenstern links von der Eingangstüre, jeweils im Erdgeschoss und in der ersten Etage.
  Die damals noch spiegelbildlich angelegte rechte Gebäudehälfte kam im Jahre 1874 hinzu. Sie bot Platz für Standesamt und Verwaltungsräume.
