English: Old boundary stone in Pontebba (Friuli-Venezia Giulia / Italy / EU) marking the border between Austria–Hungary and Italy till 1918. At that time Pontebba consisted of two villages, the Italian speaking Pontebba and the German speaking Pontafel (part of Carinthia).
Deutsch: Der alte Grenzstein zwischen Österreich-Ungarn und Italien bis 1918 im heutigen Pontebba im Kanaltal. Nordöstlich der Grenze lag der damals deutschsprachige Ortsteil Pontafel, der zu Kärnten gehörte. Aufschrift: KAISERTHUM OESTERREICH HERZOGTHUM KÄRNTEN. IX 3/10 Myriameter von KLAGENFURT. Umgerechnet sind das ca. 93 km, bei den heute ausgebauten Straßen sind das knapp über 80 km. |
