DescriptionAerosol effect on cloud albedo.jpg	English: This image helps to understand the "aerosol indirect effect". Clouds in clean air are composed of a relatively small number of large droplets (left). As a consequence, the clouds are somewhat dark and translucent. In air with high concentrations of aerosols, water can easily condense on the particles, creating a large number of small droplets (right). These clouds are dense, very reflective, and bright white. (description by NASA) Polski: Pośredni efekt aerozolowy. Chmury powstające w czystym powietrzu składają się z względnie małej liczby dużych kropli (po lewej). W rezultacie mają małe albedo, są przejrzyste i łatwo przepuszczają promieniowanie słoneczne. Chmury powstające w powietrzu z dużą zawartością aerozolu (po prawej) składają się z względnie dużej liczby drobnych kropel i mają w związku z tym duże albedo. To znaczy, że rozpraszają dużo promieniowania słonecznego, nie dopuszczając go do powierzchni Ziemi. Są gęste i białe, ponieważ rozpraszają promieniowanie na wszystkie strony.
