English: Adrian J. Cronauer was a former U.S. Air Force sergeant. He co-authored the original story for the major motion picture, "Good Morning, Vietnam" In that film, Cronauer was por-trayed—loosely-—by Robin Williams whose performance was nominated for an Academy Award. Mr. Cronauer sat on the Board of Directors of the National D-Day Memorial and has served as a member of the Virginia Public Broadcasting Board, and the Board of Governors of the New School for Social Research in New York City. He served two terms as a trustee of the Virginia War Memorial He was a resident of Troutville, Virginia when he died on July, 18, 2018. He is resting in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia.
