English: Map shows the places where German bombardments took place and where German paratroopers landed. The designation 'barracks' refers to the adjacent New Alexander Army Barracks and the Waalsdorp Army Camp, where 66 and 58 were killed respectively by bombardments. An important goal of the attack was the imprisonment of the head of state, Queen Wilhelmina. The Germans troops would not succeed in that. From a military point of view, the outcome of the Battle for The Hague was a victory for the Dutch army. In total there were 515 deaths on the Dutch side. Exact figures about the German losses are unknown.
