English: Europe - Fighter Control Center Of A Tac Headquarters Sets Up Missions Often At The Request Of The Ground Forces, Who Want A Target Demolished Behind The Enemy Lines. Fcc Turns Over Control To Radar, Usually By Teletyping The Controller At A Signal Aircraft Warning battalion's MEW (Microswave Early Warning) station. This i usually 20-30 miles from the front. This picture here is of a mobile unit; the "snowplow" the men are standing by is the antenna. (AN/CPS-1)
