English: The A56 Chair was an evolution of the original "A" chair ("Chaise A") designed by Xavier Pauchard (the father of Jean) for his company Tolix (1927). It is held in the collections of museums such as the Vitra Museum, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and the Pompidou Center. It can also be seen in Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye.
