English: Genesee River, Middle Falls. About 45 mi/72 km SSW of Rochester, NY. In the background the first Letchworth Portage Bridge is visible. (cf. [1]) The "Lattice bridge" in the foreground was built in 1841 and destroyed by a flood around 1864 or 1865. cf. [2]
