Summary

Description
English: View of the so-called small crypt in the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, Netherlands. Normally, the small crypt cannot be accessed but at this special occasion, the 2018 Heiligdomsvaart ("Relics Pilgrimage"), it is open for pilgrims to visit. The history of the seven-yearly Heiligdomsvaart goes back to the Middle Ages. The first 'modern' version of this ten-day catholic pilgrimage took place in 1874. The 2018 Heiligdomsvaart was the 55th modern edition.
