Description
Deutsch: Henry Bethel Strousberg steigt ab 1860 zum erfolgreichsten Eisenbahnmagnaten Deutschlands auf. 1867/68 lässt er sich in der Wilhelmstraße 70 ein luxoriöses Stadtpalais errichten. Als sein Imperium 1873 zusammenbricht und den "Gründerkrach" einleitet, verliert Strousberg fast sein gesamtes Vermögen. 1884 erwirbt die britische Botschaft das Gebäude.
