Article

Quehanna Wild Area

Purpose of use

The Quehanna Wild Area was originally a nuclear research area for Curtiss-Wright Corporation - these hot cells were one of two main facilities in the main complex there (along with the nuclear reactor). This shows what the hot cells looked like when they were new and operational. Image is needed to fully understand them.

Replaceable?

No. The reactor was decommissioned in the 1960s and the facility torn down by 2009. This is a unique image.
