한국어: '법성포 단오제'는 전라남도 영광군 법성포 이대에서 단오 무렵 지역 주민에 의해 전승되어 온 전통적인 민속축제이다. 법성포에는 조선시대 한양으로 올라가는 세곡을 관리하는 조창(漕倉)이 있었으며, 조기 파시(波市)의 중심지였기에 오래전부터 상권(商圈)이 발달한 지역이었다. 이러한 사회·경제적인 배경을 바탕으로 파시가 형성되는 시기에 난장(亂場)이 크게 섰으며, 이 지역에서 자연스럽게 단오제가 발생하는 계기가 되었다. |
