Nederlands: Standbeeld van Neptunus (Grieks: Poseidon)
De vrijmaking van het verkeer over de Schelde naar Antwerpen was voor de ontwikkeling van deze stad van levensbelang. Gedurende lange jaren had Nederland, bevreesd voor concurrentie aan Amsterdam, de Schelde afgesloten. In 1863 was het dan zover. Nederland gaf toe en de Schelde werd weer vrij bevaarbaar. Ontwerp van architect J.J. Winders, in samenwerking met de beeldhouwers Louis Dupuis en Jaak de Braekeleer.
