Description"Water Glass 2, 2004 (Variant)" by Amanda Means.jpg
English: A camera-less photographic work by Amanda Means, created by shining the light from a darkroom enlarger directly through the water glass. The enlarger light passes through the water and glass to create varying levels of opacity and translucency, projected onto a sheet of photo paper. This method reveals a rich and detailed landscape beyond the familiarity of the everyday object. Bubbles, scratches, and condensation become enlarged, intensified; a mysterious world unto their own. Traditional silver gelatin print.
