Anatomy
editEurycaraspis incilis differs from Quasipetalichthys by having a more circular-shaped skull.
Phylogeny
editEurycaraspis incilis is considered a basal petalichthyid, and is placed in Quasipetalichthyidae as Quasipetalichthys' sister taxon. Quasipetalichthyidae, in turn, is considered the sister group of Macropetalichthyidae.
