Proposed merge with Not Evaluated (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
editAll of these should be merged back into here:
- Not Evaluated (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
- Data Deficient (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
- Least Concern (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
- Vulnerable (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
- Collapsed (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
- Ecosystem collapse
- Draft:Endangered (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems)
These are all just different categories on the same list. The articles are highly repetitive, and share many of the same sources. This could be covered better slightly expanding the Risk Categories section and providing examples in-line. -- RoySmith (talk) 15:32, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi RoySmith, thanks for your comment. I merged all information from most of those pages back to the main article, except one. Ecosystem collapse is a broader ecological concept that is gaining more an more attention, not only within the Red List of Ecosystem protocol, so I believe it deserves to remain as a distinct page in wikipedia.
How do I delete or mark for deletion the pages I already merged? can I remove the "merge" tag when I am done? -- Jrfep (talk) 13:51, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Jrfep: thanks for doing that. I'm fine with keeping Ecosystem collapse on its own. Anyway, the usual procedure after a merge is to take the existing titles and redirect them to the target article. You can find instructions at Wikipedia:Redirect#How to make a redirect. And, yes, for the article that didn't get merged, just remove the merge tag, and do the same with the target article. If you need any help, just let me know. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:57, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Jrfep: If it's OK with you, I'd like to go ahead and delete Draft:Endangered (IUCN Red List of Ecosystems), since it looks like you've already merged that material. Yes? -- RoySmith (talk) 17:10, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- @RoySmith: Ok, go ahead... Jrfep (talk) 22:53, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
