Talk:Carlos Botelho (politician)

(Redirected from Draft talk:Carlos Botelho)

Information about Botelho regarding his medical career.

edit

As well as being a politician, Botelho was a prominant figure in the field of urology and other medicines in Brazil. He was a founding member of the Society of Medicine and Surgery of São Paulo.

While this English article currently focuses on his political history, his Portuguese article mostly talks about his medical career. As the Portuguese article is translated over, and as we find more information on his medical career, this article will likely become a mix of both his political and medical careers. With that in mind, make inquiries on this talk page about certain information before removing them, as such info as his career in urology will become more relevant as more information is added before the draft is submitted to the mainspace. Thank you for starting this article. I will also have a look at the Portuguese version. LeónGonsalvesofGoa (talk) 03:32, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much for your contributions so far. I've found a few bits of information on him in the digital National Library of Medicine, a few of those documents are linked below but there is much more I haven't looked at yet.

It's much easier to find the mentions of him if you download the OCR plaintext of the documents and page search his name. I don't speak Portuguese however, so I have to rely on Google's page translation; you'll likely find a bit more than me. Once again, thank you for helping develop the article, it's my first so I'm excited at the prospect! Tylermack999 (talk) 18:52, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I only found useful information in the third reference. How did you come across this man? LeónGonsalvesofGoa (talk) 02:24, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I saw him as a red link in Japanese Brazilians, I took notice of him because of his role in Japanese immigration. Tylermack999 (talk) 10:34, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
